Friday Fight 7 - Circle of Uncertainty and God’s Perfect Timing
Every Friday, when I wake and pray, God places something on my heart to help me fight darkness beginning in our minds. Today is FF7.
Do you find yourself waiting for something and becoming frustrated because God has not taken care of it yet? Are you trying to decide but do not know which direction to take? Let me share how darkness attempts to devour during this time.
Circle of Uncertainty and God’s Perfect Timing:
A circle of uncertainty is a tactic used to keep people focused on the weight of a decision and away from God’s plan. One thing we have all learned is the disaster of going ahead of God’s timing. Look at baseball and someone like Bryce Harper and his swing always being perfect. Bryce has perfected the timing of his swing, different from perfect timing. God is the Lord of time; all are under His control and direction. We are limited by time, God is not.
Timing is essential in so many things, yet we struggle to trust God’s perfect timing.
How does this work? First imagine approaching a roundabout, a circular intersection where traffic flows in one direction around one central island. Suppose you are in a situation or faced with a decision and you are no longer trusting God’s timing. The first thing that happens is a focus change and we begin to struggle. Over time the struggle leads to doubt, which opens the area leading to the circle of uncertainty. Doubt is the trigger that exposes us and the urgency to reach our plan now plagues us. Darkness wants to keep us spinning in this circle. In doing so, we are traveling around and around and never reaching the destiny God had for us. More lies flood in causing us not to decide or quickly decide, both are tricks! The more time spent circling, the more confused you become. The drive and direction you once had through prayer are now fading.
The solution, PRAYER, it closes the gaps leading to these circles of uncertainty!
Let's give the God of time our time and saturate our decisions and situations in prayer. I hope this helps someone today.
