About

The power of prayer has been an intricate and essential part of my life. I would love to declare that I learned the importance of prayer from my obedience to God's Word, but unfortunately, that's not the case. My father was a pastor for 55 years, and we learned to cover every part of our lives in prayer. I experienced the power of prayer because my family lived it; we saw and practiced it firsthand.

I owe my life and many areas of my life to answered prayers. We serve a prayer hearing and prayer answering God. I am the product of many blessings. I was born premature and not expected to live. A long list of medical problems typically accompanies infants born two and a half months early, over 50 years ago. My parents were also told I would never be able to have children, and I am the mother of three.

I was spiritually nurtured and learned many things from my parents; they knew God trusted them with His reputation. My love for God and prayer continually grows, and I find myself praying for and with others and teaching those around me the basics of and importance of prayer.

Making prayer a part of our everyday life can be a struggle. Pick a specific time of the day and consistently give that time to God. I have implemented many methods over the years, but making time to connect with God intimately is vital. Spiritual warfare is real! During my prayer time, I stand against the enemy's lies by replacing each one with the truth of God's word.
