Friday Fight 4 - The Tone of Truth or Lure of Lies

Every Friday, when I wake and pray, God places something on my heart to help me fight darkness beginning in our minds. Today is FF4.

When people ask me how to know if it is God's voice placing something on our hearts or Satan's voice spewing lies into our minds, my response is usually long. There are many factors! How many of us deal with past mistakes that continually consume our thoughts? All of us. I hope this lesson brings clarity and peace.

The Tone of Truth or Lure of Lies:

The Holy Spirit of truth and guidance is a gentleman and encourages with a loving voice. Darkness lies with accusations, fear, and confusion. The Holy Spirit will gently convict us of one specific sin and waits patiently as we address it together, with reminders of Scripture. (John 14:26) God will send people to encourage us and walk with us. There is no other guidance or correction as gentle and loving as this. Satan is an accuser, a mocker, the Father of lies. When whispering lies, it will be 3-4 horrible things from your past to make you feel defeated. The goal is hopelessness through lies too great to fix. Ask God to forgive you and leave all sins at the foot of the cross. (1 John 1:9) Through forgiveness, we walk away free. The enemy of our souls will attempt to isolate us, make us feel rejected, and pull us from God and anything or anyone good. We are redeemed, forgiven, and covered in the blood of Christ because of His unparalleled sacrifice. Darkness will constantly bring regret and shame by replaying mistakes in our minds.

If you are being accused of something or made to feel repeatedly shamed, it is NOT of God. God will continually work to bring healing and growth by encouraging you to lean on Him and others. Satan brings lies to steal, kill and destroy our joy. All these lies are constructed to destroy our self-image and begins in our mind.
