Friday Fight 2 - The Devaluing Lesson
Every Friday when I wake and pray, God places something on my heart to help me fight darkness beginning in the mind. I started posting last week so this is Friday Fight 2.
Have you ever been driving alone, or losing the sleep/wake battle, when a question randomly pops into your head? A totally random question in your mind like, “Am I a good wife, boyfriend, mom, or daughter?” Fill in the blank!
But, as we shake our heads, feeling immediate frustration, we attempt to answer. I will use myself as an example:
Suppose the question was, “Am I a good mom?” I quickly answer this question in my mind, “I think I am a good Mom,” only to have another question flood my mind. “How can you be a good mom if _______? So I respond again, more frustrated, but with each question I try to confidently answer, I feel worse about myself. Well, the questions will continue as long as I keep answering them. What is happening and where do these questions come from? Surely not from God! I refer to this as a devaluing process from darkness.
Spiritual warfare begins in the mind. This Friday Fight message is to hopefully encourage you, and bring awareness regarding the lies of darkness.
If this happens to you, please reflect on these things:
First, consider who is asking you this question? God is NOT asking you if you’re a good wife, good daughter, etc.. with spiraling questions presented so negatively.
Second, when this happens, please do not answer the question; they only lead to more questions you can’t answer and still feel peace inside. These questions are meant to control your mood, devour your character, and cause feelings shame. That how the enemies of our souls operate. Remember whose you are and whom you serve. You are the child of King! Adjust your crown and posture yourself accordingly. You are loved and you are valued. Fight by talking to your Heavenly Father, pray for someone, but don’t answer the question!
Share this post, spread awareness of how to battle the spiritual attacks beginning in the mind.
