Friday Fight 70 - His Cup of Blessings

Every Friday, when I wake and pray, God places something on my heart to help me fight darkness beginning in our minds. Today is FF70.

How often have we started randomly thinking about someone or even felt led to reach out to someone out of nowhere? We don't understand why this person is in our thoughts or even why we feel compelled to potentially help them. We try to rationalize while perhaps sending them a quick text, but what's next?

His Cup of Blessings:

So throughout our day, we have this person or family in our hearts, but what do we do about it? When this happens, it's good to first pray for guidance. Sometimes we are led to call, stop by, or maybe bless others in another way, but we know with certainty and prayer, the Holy Spirit is placing this on our hearts, and we want to be obedient.

A few weeks ago, God placed it on my heart to send $100 to a person in another country. I understood what the Holy Spirit was revealing to my heart but did not know precisely who, so in prayer, I asked God to show me. This required confirmation because we met so many incredible people there that I am still friends with on social media. The next day I received a timely message from someone pivotal to our mission work in Africa. This was back in 2017. Yup, you guessed it! This friend happened to message me. He enjoys the Friday Fights and was sending a message of encouragement, exactly one day later. God made His will clear.

Being led, I asked this friend if I could honor God and send him some money, specifically $100. He was filled with joy at the needs this blessing would fill. Everything I have is God's, and it was His cup of blessing overflowing into the soul of another. It is not unusual for me to give money to people God places on my heart, and He always confirms each one incredibly.

The following week while camping, I shared with my nephew how God undoubtedly revealed the recipient of this monetary blessing. We discussed God's love and the excitement of the endless possibilities of how this could be confirmed.

The following morning, I received a message from a sweet friend in Washington state who knew nothing about this; we had not communicated in months. Then, she randomly sends me a cash app for $100.00. Wait what?! God's perfect timing! During her prayer time, God placed it on her heart to send me $100 and used her to confirm what was shared with me. She was a cup blessing to someone in Africa she had never met. She was filled with joy when I called her to share this story.

Darkness operates in schemes by whispering lies against what the Holy Spirit is placing on our hearts to do. Darkness will repeatedly list reasons why we should never do what is being asked of us. Satan will do anything to stop God’s blessings from overflowing into the needs of others who walk in faith.

God has given us all new life through a relationship with his Son. He has chosen us to be His channels of new life, His cup of blessing to those in the world who are in need. God calls us to graciously give in abundance; that giving comes from various forms. When God calls us to give, he will part the clouds making it clear it is His will.
